What data we process and why

On markets.lv we process only the data you submit to us, and anonymised visit statistics if you consent to them.

• Enquiries: name, email, phone, company and the content of your message, to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry we received.
• Application to become a client: company name, registration number, delivery place, the contact person's name, email, phone and the product groups you are interested in, to prepare a cooperation offer. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
• Newsletter: email address, to send news about the range and seasonal offers. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Visit statistics: Google Analytics data about page visits, only after your consent in the cookie notice. Legal basis: your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and applications for 2 years from receipt, unless cooperation starts, in which case we keep the data for the duration of the contract and as long as accounting and tax law requires. We keep a newsletter address until you unsubscribe. Visit statistics are kept for the period set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.

Who receives the data

Data is processed only by our employees who need it for their work, and by the following service providers acting on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc., hosting of the website and protection against automated requests.
• The email delivery provider that brings form submissions to our mailbox.
• Google Ireland Limited, visit statistics (Google Analytics), only with your consent.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, the Facebook posts plugin on the Shop page, only if you press "Show Facebook posts" yourself.

Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare and Google may also process data outside the European Union. In such cases the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to object to processing, to receive your data in a portable form and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights write to info@markets.lv.

If you believe we process your data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv).
